K Club

As part of a major makeover of the Palmer Clubhouse at the K club, prior to the hosting of the Ryder Cup, Connections were approached to supply two specialist gas fires. The 1st fire was to fit into an existing Louis fireplace, so we selected a large swan's nest basket with a 'Classic II' gas fire.

The 2nd fire and fireplace was for a room that did not have a chimney, so we introduced the Exhausto fan system (www.exhausto.com) to remove the products of combustion from the room. Flue pipe was concealed behind a false chimney breast and between the false ceiling and roof; the fan itself was housed in the valley between the two roofs. A modern Kendell basket, with a 'Genesis' gas fire was selected to complement the décor of the room.
